Lovely birds, they always bring a splash of colour to a dull day. There are lots of them feeding in alders near me over the last few months but never easy to photograph.

We currently have a flock of approx 100 feeding in a seed crop. I can see them using telescope from home. Have walked by a couple of times though. Highest count has been 300 this winter which is very good. Some Reed Bunting in with them also.

Seemed to be lots scattered in small groups around western end of Dundee on Sunday too. seemingly quite a few over at Kilmany in Fife too. Perhaps there's been an influx from the continent recently.
