Honduras is located in Central America, and is a great location for birding because it has a variety of ecosystems in a relatively small geographic area making it easy to move around, and it is the migration limit for many northern and southern species in the American continent. To date, 763 species are documented on eBird. At Choose Honduras we create custom trip itineraries, and also offer set-date trips. OPur trips are led by local guides that know the terrain well. Some of the key places included in our trips are: Pico Bonito National Park, Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge, Lake Yojoa, Azul Meambar National Park, Santa Barbara National Park, Copan Ruinas, Lancetilla Botanical Garden and many more. Target species include the endemic Honduran emerald, Lovely Cotinga, Oscellated Quail, Keel-billed Toucan, Turquoise-browed Mot Mot, Bushy-crested Jay, Resplendant Quetzal, and Lesson's Mot Mot.
