Not an expert by any means but our Common Buzzards usually show a pale breast band. The red colour is more suggestive of Steppe Buzzard and lack of tailband would seem to suggest a juvenile/1w bird.

An unusual sighting for Cape Town and a new species for the garden list! The species distribution has apparently been expanding and only recently become established in Cape Town :)

Pretty sure this is a Forest Buzzard. Thoughts from anyone else? If it is then it is a new species for the garden list :)

Wow, that is great. One of my favourite birds John is the Eurasian Stone Curlew, which is a thick knee.

Black Sparrowhawk with what looks to be a Red-eyed Dove or a Ring-necked Dove. Probably our best garden bird sighting since lockdown started :)
