He was jsut sitting on the post watching across the marshes see them alot along here and other raptors but difficult to get close as there is no cover its very open flat marshland

Finally spotted the spoonbill at steart marshes near bridgewater, pity they were so far away , taken with a 400mm lens the first photo is the very cropped version of the second

Can anyone help identify this please, they were on the edge of the beach by the cliffs catching insects, they move quick much like a wagtail about the size of a pipit

Looks like a Pied Wagtail juvenile.

Ok cool that's probably it i thought they looked wagtail like the way they moved but there were lots of them along the cliffs , didn't see any adults.

2 of these saw them at 11am they were asleep ...saw them again 2pm they were still asleep, Its a bit oversharpened as they were a fair way from the hide but i m pretty sure its a godwit

Sedge warbler i spotted today at steart again

Saw a mix of birds, these two and 5 linnets all flying and feeding together , well same area in the grasses this was as close as i got as the linnets were more nervous and they all flew away

Oystercatcher feeding a youngster on a small shale island on the salt marshes, the avocet also had a youngster there
