I'm falling over Chiffchaffs here in Dundee - they are everywhere (almost - not many too close to where I live). Was struggling a little to get Willow Warbler - until this morning, but that's a story for another blog-post.

I’ve managed to reach 100 species without leaving the city in just over 3 months but I suspect things will be getting a lot harder quite soon (once I round up the summer migrants). I’ve set myself a target of 125 but I know it will be tricky to reach that just in the city.

There are 2 populations to the north and west which are spreading out, though thanks to the ‘minority’ of ‘bad apples’ in the Glens, not as quickly/widely as they could. Hopefully though they will be an increasingly regular sight around the edges of the city and eventually over the city too.

Green Woodpecker - Portmoak Moss, Nuthatch - Scone Palace grounds or Killiecrankie, Chiffchaff - almost anywhere from about now incl. Tay Reedbeds. Bearded Tit - Tay reedbeds. Think all those locations are within your region (P&K), so you should be ok going for exercise to them.
