This video is about bird watching at the Ash Pond in Kuching, Sarawak. The name of the power station here is called Sejingkat Power Station, which has three ash ponds around it.

This place became highly popular due to the number of shorebirds that come here, and in total, over 24 species of shorebirds have been spotted here. The video also shows the shorebirds circling the ash pond and another showing a closeup using a field scope and smartphone camera to see the waterbirds.

You can also get a full list of birds at the Kuching Ash Pond as I detailed them down when I visited here. My last visit here was in late 2019, just before Sarawak closed its borders because of the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020.

I've been pretty much travelling around Sarawak in the last few years, exploring many of the bird watching locations. Well, since Covid19, I've taken a back seat and some time off to relax before restarting in 2022.
